4. History

 

24–30 credits required, to include:

  1. HIS 111 (The Early Modern World) or HIS 112 (The Modern World)
  2. HIS 290 (Introduction to Historical Research Methods)
  3. One of the following senior-level Canadian History courses:
  4. One of the following senior-level European History courses:
  5. One of the following senior-level Special Theme History courses:
  6. HIS 410 (The Craft of History)
  7. 6–12 credits of unspecified senior-level HIS courses. Students with a concentration in History must complete a minimum of 9 HIS credits at the 300- or 400-level in addition to HIS 410 (The Craft of History).

In addition to the above, students must complete:

  1. 3 credits of junior-level ENG courses.
  2. 3 additional credits in courses offered by the departments of Fine Arts, Philosophy and Religious studies, or Literature and Languages (ARAB, ARTH, CHIN, CLAS, CLIT, CREE, DRA, ENG, FR, GERM, GRK, HEBR, LAT, MUS, MUP, MUPB, MUPE, MUPH, MUPK, MUPP, MUPS, MUPV, MUPW, MUED264 (Handbells and Handchimes for Children and Youth), PHIL, POPC, REL, SPA, WRI).
  3. 6 credits of courses in the Faculty of Science.

Permissible minors: All minors listed in section 10.6 other than History and Forensic Studies.
