4. Mathematics
Mathematics, the foundation of many disciplines, is a dynamic field that continues to evolve. CUE’s Mathematics programs are designed to cultivate graduates who will contribute to enhancing the province’s standing in mathematical sciences. These programs serve as a basis for further studies in Mathematics and for careers in diverse fields such as education, IT, business, law, medicine, and management.
For students seeking a solid foundation in mathematics and a faster path to a degree, CUE’s 3-year concentration is an appealing choice. This 3-year degree seamlessly transitions into the 4-year major in Mathematics at CUE, providing students with the opportunity to enhance their qualifications if they wish. CUE’s Mathematics programs provide students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to support the message of the importance of math and science education, and to ultimately enter the competitive workforce. The programs are evolving to encourage greater student participation in research, guided by both faculty and students themselves.
