3. One of the following senior-level Canadian History courses:
   • HIS 260 (Canadian History 1500-1867),
   • HIS 261 (Canadian History 1867-Present),
   • HIS 365 (The Canadian West to 1885),
   • HIS 366 (The Canadian West Since 1885),
   • HIS 369 (Indigenous Peoples and Canada Since 1800) or
   • HIS 370 (Christianity and Indigenous Peoples in Canada);
4. One of the following senior-level European History courses:
   • HIS 207 (Europe in the Central Middle Ages),
   • HIS 208 (Europe in the Later Middle Ages),
   • HIS 212 (The Renaissance),
   • HIS 213 (The Sixteenth Century),
   • HIS 218 (Late Imperial Russia and the Soviet Union (1762-1991)),
   • HIS 309 (Luther and the Reformation),
   • HIS 315 (From Discord to Concord: Europe in the Late 20th Century),
   • HIS 333 (Europe in the Age of Totalitarianism), or
   • HIS 340 (Light on Europe in the "Dark Ages");
5. One of the following senior-level Special Theme History courses:
   • HIS 206 (History of Christianity),
   • HIS 221 (Rebellions and Revolutions),
   • HIS 250 (American History to 1865),
   • HIS 251 (American History Since 1865),
   • HIS 300-series (HIS 301 (Special Topics in History: Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide in the Twentieth Century), HIS 302 (Special Topics in History: History at the Movies), or HIS 303),
   • HIS 355 (The History of Science from the Scientific Revolution to the Present Day),
   • HIS 415 (Public History),
   • HIS 416 (Public History Field Placement), or
   • HIS 464 (Indigenous Peoples, Christianity, and Colonialism);
6. HIS 410 (The Craft of History)
7. 6–12 credits of unspecified senior-level HIS courses. Students with a concentration in History must complete a minimum of 9 HIS credits at the 300- or 400-level in addition to HIS 410 (The Craft of History).

In addition to the above, students must complete:

9. 3 additional credits in courses offered by the departments of Fine Arts, Philosophy and Religious studies, or Literature and Languages (ARAB, ARTH, CHIN, CLAS, CLIT, DRA, ENG, FR, GERM, GRK, HEBR, LAT, MUS, MUP, MUED264 (Handbells and Handchimes for Children and Youth), PHIL, REL, SPA, WRI).
10. 6 credits of courses in the Faculty of Science.
