Hellen Juma (MBA, B.ED, CPS.K)

Hellen is a certified Master LifeCoach  and Two-time Best-Selling Author who is dedicated to helping people advance in their careers. With an MBA in Strategic Management and HRM and a background in education, she brings a strong combination of business knowledge and coaching expertise to her current position as Career Coach at NorQuest College. Hellen has a proven track record in employment support. In her previous role at EmployAbilities, she assisted individuals facing employment challenges, including new immigrants. She developed training programs, organized workshops, and collaborated with job developers to ensure clients were well-equipped for their next career moves. Hellen is also skilled at building relationships with employers, conducting interviews, and creating training materials.

Dr. Cecilia Bukutu

Dr. Cecilia Bukutu is a Professor of Public Health at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) and an Adjunct Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Alberta (UAlberta). She earned her MPhil and PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge and completed post-doctoral fellowships at City University (UK) and UAlberta.

Cecilia has spearheaded numerous successful public health research initiatives, securing funding from organizations such as NSERC, CIHR, SSHRIC, and PHAC. Her projects include the Speak Science Simply Program, the VacciNation Project, and the current multi-institutional Building Healthy Communities Mentorship and Resilience Program (MRP).

In addition to her research leadership, Cecilia is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of researchers, having supervised numberous students and postdoctoral fellows on various health-related projects. Her contributions to research and scholarship have been recognized with the President’s Dare to Discover Award at UAlberta and the 2021 Gerald S. Krispin Research Award at CUE.
