5. Mathematics

45–60 credits required, to include:

  1. MAT 114 (Elementary Calculus I) and MAT 115 (Elementary Calculus II)
  2. MAT 120 (Linear Algebra I) and MAT 151 (Introduction to Statistical Methods)
  3. MAT 200 (Foundations of Mathematics)
  4. MAT 214 (Intermediate Calculus I) and MAT 215 (Intermediate Calculus II)
  5. MAT 224 (Linear Algebra II) and MAT 228 (Algebra: Introduction to Ring Theory)
  6. MAT 331 (Introduction to Differential Equations)
  7. 9 credits of unspecified 400-level MAT courses
  8. 6–21 additional credits of unspecified senior-level MAT courses

In addition to the above, students must complete:

  1. 6 credits of unspecified IT or CMPT courses.
  2. 3 credits of ENG courses.
  3. DRA 252 (Fundamentals of Public Speaking)
  4. One of PHY 111 (Introduction to University Physics I) or PHY 121 (Introductory General Physics I) or PHY 131
  5. One of ECO 101 (Introduction to Microeconomics) or ECO 102 (Introduction to Macroeconomics)

In addition to the above, students must present:

  1. AIT 100 (Undergraduate Academic Integrity Training)

Permissible minors: All minors listed in section 10.6 other than Mathematics.
