MLA Rhiannon Hoyle

Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Edmonton South


MLA Rhiannon Hoyle is an entrepreneur, community leader, mentor, fundraiser, wife and mother of two school-aged children passionately engaging and enhancing the community grassroots movement for over 20 years in Edmonton.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, she immigrated to Edmonton in 1992 and spent her extracurricular time helping to alleviate poverty, assisting vulnerable populations, and strengthening communities by volunteering and working in the inner city.

Currently, Rhiannon is the MLA for the riding of Edmonton-South. She is the first Black woman elected to the Alberta Legislature and sits as one of three MLA’s to have formed the first Black Caucus in Alberta’s history. She is the Critic for Advanced Education and is a strong voice for residents in South Edmonton and all Albertans.

Ms. Allison Pfeifer

Multiculturalism & Anti-Racism, Government of Alberta


Alison is the Executive Director of Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism with the Government of Alberta. Prior to this role, Allison held various Chief of Staff roles, including to the Deputy Minister of Trade, Immigration and Multiculturalism, and to the Deputy Minister and the Associate Deputy Minister of Health.

Allison holds a Master of Arts from New York University; Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Music degrees from the University of Alberta; and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

She provides a diverse perspective in the community through her work on the music industry advocacy group – West Anthem; as former Vice-Chair of Alberta Music Industry Association; and as a CPA Edmonton Community Ambassador.
