Residence Fees

We want to strike the right balance between providing a high-level Residence Life Experience, while also being affordable! We work hard to keep our residence fees competitive and we are proud to be one of the few schools that do not charge an application fee.

More information regarding residence fees can be located in the Academic Calendar section 5.7.

Residence Fees for the 2024-2025 Year:

Private Room (Single): $3390.00/semester
Shared Room (Double): $2290.00/semester

Administrative Fees:

Residence Programming Fee: $75.00/semester
Laundry Fee:
$90.00 per term
$180.00 per 2 terms
Residence Experience Deposit: $500.00

Students may be eligible for a partial refund of the Residence Experience Deposit if their Residence Contract is cancelled in advance of the official move-in date, as follows:

  • A $300.00 refund will be issued if the cancellation is received by June 20th, 2025 for the Fall 2025 Semester or November 3rd, 2025 for the Winter 2026 semester.
  • A $200.00 refund will be issued if the cancellation is received by July 18th, 2025 for the Fall 2025 Semester or November 17th, 2025 for the Winter 2026 semester.
  • Where a student’s deposit was paid after July 18th, 2025 for the Fall 2025 semester or November 17th, 2025 for the Winter 2026 semester, the deadline for a $200 refund will be seven calendar days after the conditional acceptance was sent out or the day before the official move-in day, whichever is soonest.

Housing Services may, in its sole discretion, provide a partial or full refund of the deposit in other exceptional circumstances.

Declining Balance Meal Plan

Please note: The declining balance meal plan is mandatory for students living in undergraduate residence halls.

$2,100.00/semester (minimum non-refundable amount)

Any unused funds at the end of the Fall will carry over to the Winter but expire at the end of the Winter semester. Meal funds can be used at any time during Cafeteria hours.


Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions about your dietary restrictions- religious, medical, or otherwise! The Housing Services Coordinator, in consultation with Concordia University of Edmonton’s caterer, will determine how best to support you.
