GAIN INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND INTERCULTURAL SKILLS
Why Go Abroad?
Students with study abroad experience gain intercultural and interpersonal communication skills that improve employment opportunities. Additionally, many employers consider second language competency an asset.
Graduates with study abroad experience/mobility or second language comprehension, social skills and intercultural competencies are considered strong applicants for positions in governments and companies that involve global business or international staff. Students become more aware, globally responsible citizens and better community members.

In-person
Prerequisites – Minimum of 18 credits completed at CUE with a GPA equal to or above 2.50
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Students will be able to explain intercultural competency and justify its importance
- Students will be able to assess their education abroad or volunteer experience and identify areas of growth
- Students will be able to develop strategies for effective communication in multicultural settings
- Students will be able to apply international engagement skills to their future learning and career
