Chinese Society – People & Government

China, Brazil, and western Europe have been identified as the three priority areas for CUE’s internationalization. China and Brazil are members of the BRICS, an association of five major emerging national economies. Both countries are known for their significant influence on regional affairs. The five BRICS countries represented over 3.1 billion people, or about 41% of the world population. The five nations had a combined nominal GDP of US$18.6 trillion, about 23.2% of the gross world product.

Who should attend?

These courses target primarily business executives in emerging economies, as their trading volume with China has been increasing steadily.

There is a strong and growing demand for business executives to learn China from a comprehensive yet practical (i.e., hands-on) perspective. The content covered in Chinese Society: People and Government—which includes topics about the Chinese culture, history, economy, society, politics, and governance—will allow professionals working with China or aspiring to do so to improve their ability to navigate China’s business environment and create value for their organizations.
