There are two ways to seek professional tutoring in the area of writing at Concordia. The first option is the on-site Writing Centre, located in room L266, main floor library. The second option is an online (eTutor Alberta) support service.
eTutor is a consortium of public post-secondary institutions who have come together to provide free access to online professional tutoring in writing and math support. As a Concordia student you have the opportunity to create an account with eTutor Alberta. For more information or to create an account, follow the link provided. eTUTOR ALBERTA
Location: room L266 (main floor of the Concordia library)
The Writing Centre is a free service that provides one-on-one writing consultations for students, staff, and faculty. Appointments can be booked online. If an appointment is not in progress, drop-ins are welcome. Writing is an important foundational skill in any field. Whatever your area of study, the Writing Centre is here to help you excel academically through effective writing.
Appointments are thirty minutes long. You may schedule up to two back-to-back appointments. If you would like feedback on your writing, please email a sample of your own writing in advance to email@example.com. Please also bring a printed copy of your writing sample to your appointment. Emailed writing samples are confidential and used only for appointments that they were submitted for. Finally, feel free to mention any specific concerns you might have about your writing, or any question(s) about writing in general, either when booking an appointment or during the appointment itself.
The Writing Centre is subject to the terms of academic honesty as outlined in Section 9.0 in the Concordia academic calendar. Staff will not edit or proofread students’ papers, but will help students to develop skills to improve their own writing.
