Bio:

I am a professional counselling therapist working in private practice. In addition to teaching at Concordia, I teach courses in the Psychotherapy and Spirituality program for St. Stephen’s College at the University of Alberta.

My academic background includes an MTh degree from the University of Wales in the UK, an MA in Counselling from Central Seminary in Kansas City, and a PhD from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. I am currently pursuing a second doctorate in clinical pastoral counselling through Washington University of Virginia in the US.

I am a frequent guest speaker and seminar presenter and author of several books and articles. I hold professional designations with the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I currently serve on the executive teams for the CCPA’s Spirituality in Counselling Chapter and the PACCP’s Alberta-West Chapter.
