Concordia University of Edmonton’s Department of Psychology provides you with the foundation, knowledge, and skills needed for a career in the human services field. You will learn and refine key communication skills such as critical and abstract thinking, writing, observation, listening, and leadership through a variety of courses.
Studying psychology prepares you for the graduate degree work needed to follow a variety of career paths, including psychologist, clinical social worker, occupational therapist, or even further studies in areas such as education and law.
You can choose from:
- a 3-year concentration; or
- a 4-year major; or
- a 4-year major with an applied emphasis (which includes a field placement component). The 4-year major with an applied emphasis also offers a Forensic Studies Minor.
Concordia University of Edmonton’s graduate program offers a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, as well as certificates and diplomas in the area of psychological assessment.
