Dr.  Abigail Abada

Sessional Instructor, Department of Psychology

Dr. Abigail Abada is a Registered Psychologist in Alberta and a sessional instructor in the Department of Psychology at Concordia University of Edmonton.

She earned her BSc in Psychology (with Honors and Industrial Internship) from the University of Alberta and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (with a Certificate of Academic Excellence from the Canadian Psychological Association) from the University of Saskatchewan, completing her residency at the University of Manitoba’s Max Rady College of Medicine in programs accredited by the Canadian and American Psychological Associations.

Dr. Abada has broad clinical experience across adult mental health, clinical health and rehabilitation psychology, pediatric psychology, and forensic psychology, with resident training in child neuropsychology.

Clinically, Dr. Abada works in a CARF-accredited outpatient clinic specializing in traumatic injuries, including psychological and brain injuries, where she provides assessment, treatment, and consultation services, and supervises psychology residents matched through AAPIC.

Academically, she has been teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels since the late 2000s, with instructional interests in the psychology of criminal behaviour and psychological assessment.
