Research Interests
I am a Marital and Family Therapist with a focus on challenging the oppressive constraints of dominant social, cultural and gender discourse. I am interested in using qualitative research to explore the impact of dominant or ‘grand’ social and cultural narratives on substance use/misuse. I am also curious to look at how the shifting discourse of gender and sexual identity theory impacts lived experience.
