Center for Chinese Studies (CCS)
The Center for Chinese Studies’ research grant program is aimed at foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, and doctoral candidates in Chinese studies-related departments at foreign universities. CCS provides assistance with research expenses, research materials, liaison with universities and research institutions, and use of CCS facilities. Grant recipients are entitled to travel and research subsidies. Research tenure is 3 months to 1 year.

The Matsumae International Foundation (MIF) is a nongovernmental organization. It is funded solely on donations. It is offering researchers, of a non-Japanese nationality, under the age of 49 fellowships. The invitation period is 3 to 6 months in fields of study. Studies in natural science, engineering and medicine are given first priority.

National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)
Funds research in multiple areas, including health and medical sciences, and collaborates with four national research centers. General research grants are available. NSTDA is focusing on five targeted sectors 1) Agriculture and Food, 2) Energy and Environment, 3) Health and Medicine, 4) Resources, Communities and the Underprivileged, and 5) Manufacturing and Service Industries critical to the economic and social development of Thailand.
