The choral tradition at Concordia stems to its founding. Choirs have been an integral part of Concordia and continue to be the mainstay of the School of Music. All our choirs are conducted by our Director of Choirs, Dr. Joy Berg.
New this year, Vox de Profundis, is a men's choir composed of Concordia staff, students and members from the broader community.
The Concordia Concert Choir brings the longest tradition to the School and is comprised of auditioned students from a variety of interests and academic backgrounds. The choir performs and tours frequently in Western Canada, but has also toured Eastern Canada, the USA, and Europe. The choir just completed a life-changing tour to Brazil this Spring. The Concordia Community Chorus consists of over 100 singers and rehearses on Monday evenings. There is no audition for the chorus, although the chamber choir, a subset of the main group requires and audition.
Bella Voce, Concordia's women's choir, is made up of Concordia staff and students, and members of the broader community.
