Immigration Sessions

Studying in Canada as an international student can be both rewarding and challenging. One of the main challenges that students face is understanding immigration rules related to study permits and other permits that are tied to their studies in Canada.

Students who hold a study permit are responsible for maintaining their own immigration status in Canada. The International Office at CUE provides support and services such as immigration sessions to help students understand their responsibilities.

Immigration sessions are held throughout the fall and winter semesters on general information about the following topics,

  • Study Permit Compliance
  • Working While Studying
  • Co-op Work Permit
  • Study Permit Extensions
  • Post-Graduation Work Permit

All study permit holders are welcome to attend sessions that are of interest to them. Please note, immigration information is subject to changes and therefore sessions are not recorded. For the most up to date information, please visit the official Government of Canada website: https://www.canada.ca/en.html
