Town and Gown

As part of our commitment to fostering positive neighbourhood relations, CUE hosts Town and Gown meetings regularly. The purpose of our Town and Gown initiative is to create space for open discussion between CUE and our neighbours to identify and address challenges of common concern and propose collaborative solutions. Together, we strive to promote and support the development of a safe and healthy community.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’d like to attend a Town and Gown meeting. Are they open to anyone?
Yes—our Town and Gown meetings are open forums for discussion and collaboration. Ideally, we would love to have participation from members of the CUE community (including our students!) and the extended community. If you wish to be added to our distribution list for updates and meeting invitations, please contact president@concordia.ab.ca

Can I add an item to the agenda?
Absolutely. We do a call for agenda items at the beginning and end of each meeting but if you have an item that requires special attention, or if you wish to make a presentation, please contact president@concordia.ab.ca

Who moderates the Town and Gown meetings?
The meetings are moderated by Dr. Tim Loreman, President and Vice-Chancellor of CUE.
