Student Recruitment Officer

Concordia University College of Alberta invites applications for the position of Student Recruitment Officer. 
This full-time, contract position is a member of a student-oriented team in the areas of recruitment and admissions.  The Student Recruitment Officer’s primary responsibility is to implement and assess Concordia’s recruitment program(s) targeted primarily at university-track high school students.  In this capacity, s/he will advise clients on Concordia’s programs and services, admissions and financial aid options.  They will also be responsible for liaising with Concordia’s academic departments and faculty, high school guidance counsellors, and other stakeholders.  Other responsibilities include assisting with the development of recruitment strategies, the organization of campus visit programs and Open Houses, and when necessary providing front-line client services.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree complemented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written; demonstrated public speaking and public relation skills; effective time management; computer literacy including student information systems; knowledge of Canada’s secondary and post-secondary education systems; a valid driver’s license; and the ability to work nights and evenings and travel extensively out of town.  Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of two years experience in a post-secondary institution in the area of admissions, recruitment, financial aid and/or the Registrar’s Office.
