Biochemistry is the study of the chemistry of living systems. This discipline examines the importance of individual processes and pathways. Study in this area focuses on the relationship between structure and function in molecular entities.
The biochemistry minor maintains Concordia’s high standard of excellence in science by educating students in biological chemistry at a senior level. The course work offers training in problem solving, specifically using a molecular approach. Student Biochemists will gain experience in critical thinking and the skills required to evaluate scientific rationale. Fundamental training in the science is offered and it gives each student in the program the chance to combine Biochemistry with another relevant Major. Students are therefore furnished with a strong basis for graduate study and successful careers.
See the Academic Calendar for further information about this Minor.
