Exploring the science that surrounds us
The department of Environmental and Physical Sciences is a multi-disciplinary area that administers 3- and 4-year Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Science, as well as minor options in Sustainable Earth Resources and Geoscience (SERG) and Physics.
Our 3- and 4-year Bachelor of Science degrees in combination with various majors, minors, and concentrations, provide students the flexibility to customize the coursework to their interests and career goals.
Both our Chemistry and Environmental Science programs offer significant hands-on instruction in CUE’s laboratories and in the field, including multi-week to one-year-long field placements. Students benefit from small class sizes, allowing them greater access to various learning environments and professors. This access often leads to undergraduate student participation in faculty-led research, opportunities to showcase students’ research at scientific conferences and/or peer-reviewed journals, and lifelong friendships amongst peers and faculty.
