The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT) program is designed to prepare graduates who possess the right combination of knowledge and practical expertise to solve computing technology problems in any organization.
The program provides students with theoretical knowledge and technical skills as well as professional preparedness for IT careers and/or further study (e.g., Masters).
The curriculum covers core IT concepts (e.g., computing and emerging technologies, software development and cyber-security) and ethical, legal, and social issues related to IT.

Please note this program has a mandatory internship, field placement (program to pick the correct terminology) which requires international students to have a co-op work permit. We recommend that international students apply for their co-op work permit at least 6 months prior to their internship, field placement (program to pick the correct terminology) start date. Please note, students will not be able to complete the internship, field placement (program to pick the correct terminology) without a co-op work permit. This may result in a delay in program completion.
Note: the co-op work permit is a separate work authorization than the one which may appear in the study permit. Students cannot use their study permit work authorization in order to complete their co-op or internship course.
