Please note this program has a mandatory internship/field placement which requires international students to secure a co-op work permit.

More About Co-op Work Permits

We highly recommend that international students apply for their co-op work permit at least 6 months prior to their internship/field placement start date. Students will not be able to complete the internship/field placement without a co-op work permit, which may result in a delay in program completion.

  • The co-op work permit is a separate work authorization than the one which may appear on your study permit. Students cannot use their study permit work authorization to complete their co-op or internship course.
  • Students can visit the website of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to learn more about applying for a co-op work permit and to check processing times.
  • Students with questions about co-op work permits should contact the international office at international@concordia.ab.ca.
