From cells to ecosystems
The Department of Biological Sciences prepares graduates for the workforce or continuing professional and graduate programs by offering three and four year Bachelor of Science degrees. Our Biology program offers multiple concentrations or major options, a minor in Biochemistry, and a minor in Biology available to students in other areas of study.
Our Biological Science programs combine theoretical and applied instruction to provide students with broad knowledge from foundational concepts to cutting-edge research in biology as well as extensive hands-on laboratory experience. Students benefit from small lecture and laboratory sections, giving them more time with their professors, greater access to our state of the art laboratories and opportunities to contribute to active research programs, even at the undergraduate level.
