This course will take learners beyond the mainstream understanding of yoga (i.e. physical poses) and delve into the roots of the practice and its various forms. Through learning about the theory and various paths of yoga, learners will deepen their understanding, while also learning what practices resonate most for them.
By taking this course, the students will:
- Gain an understanding of yogic philosophy & practices
- Gain Yogic practices (i.e. meditation, philosophy, movement, etc.)

- Week 1: History & Purpose of Yoga
- Week 2: Raja Yoga (path of meditation and other practices)
- Week 3: Jnana Yoga (path of knowledge)
- Week 4: Bhakti & Karma Yoga (path of devotion and path of service)
- Week 5: Applying Yoga to Daily Life
