Please join us in welcoming Alison as a Laboratory Instructor, Earth Sciences, for the Faculty of Science.
Alison has an MSc in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Alberta and a BSc in Earth Science from the University of Victoria. Her MSc thesis used structural and sedimentary geology to evaluate the effects of salt tectonics on the depositional history of a Nova Scotian sub-basin. She previously taught at Cape Breton University in Sydney, Nova Scotia; first as a geology lab instructor and then as a geology and environmental science lecturer.
Alison enjoys travel, both indoor and outdoor plants, and can often be found hiking on the weekends. She loves being able to get hands-on in geology labs and in the field, and is excited to share her passion for Earth Science with her students.
