Thunder Women’s Volleyball Come Up Short Against Kings

The Thunder Women's Volleyball team faced off against the King's University College Eagles this past weekend and found a tougher rival than they had anticipated. The Thunder had been looking forward to meeting the Eagles and had been working hard on their defense all week in practice. Unfortunately the Thunder struggled against their cross town rivals and fell short in both matches, losing on Friday in three straight (25-15; 25-14 and 25-21) and again on Saturday (25-16, 25-9, and 25-17). Rookie Sara Rubuliak was selected as Friday's Player of the Game and veteran Bailey Magas earned the honour on Saturday. "We will need to work hard this week when we meet Olds on November 22 & 23," said Head Coach Sherri Milne. The Thunder's home game will be on Saturday November 23rd at 6 PM.
