Over the coming weeks, in collaboration with Werklund Education (University of Calgary) Office of Teaching and Learning, Dr. Verena Roberts (Educational Developer for CUE: CTE) will be presenting a series of on-line sessions on the topic of Open Education. The sessions will take place on the dates below from 4:30-5:50 PM. The following topics will be explored:

• November 3 – Open Access and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) – This session will highlight how OER and UDL intersect. We will review the elements of UDL and then consider how to find open content and resources that highlight the importance of personalized learning experiences.

• Nov 10 – Equity in Open Education – In this session, participants will consider the following questions: Why Open Learning? Why is it important to consider and integrate elements of OEP into teaching? How does open education challenge and support equity in education?

When you register for this Zoom event, you will be asked to choose which sessions in the series you wish to attend. You may attend as many sessions as you like.
