CUE Signs New International Partnership in Portugal

The International Office is proud to announce a new international partnership with the University of Minho (UMinho) in Braga, Portugal.
UMinho is a Public institution and has a strong policy for internationalisation, which is reflected in its focus on education, research and innovation, and interaction with society. Through its interaction with more than 80 countries and 400 universities around the world, UMinho is very active in mobility programming, distance learning and in the creation of joint programs with its university partners. In terms of research and innovation, UMinho partners with foreign research centres to generate scientific articles and international research networks.
The University of Minho is CUE’s second partner in Portugal and brings CUE’s total number of partners to over 100. Through this partnership, CUE and UMinho can exchange students, faculty, and staff, collaborate on research, and create joint projects together. The International Office is also working to explore possibilities for an Erasmus+ partnership.

Furthermore, I would like to highlight that one of the possible paths for the future cooperation with the University of Minho is the International Credit Mobility (ICM) – Erasmus+ Program, which promotes and supports student and staff exchanges between Higher Education Institutions of the European Union and of other parts of the world.
In today´s globalized and interdependent world, the effort of internationalization of universities is key and the intensification of links between Concordia University in Edmonton and Portuguese universities, of which the University of Minho is its most recent example, is a strategic gateway to Europe and to the Portuguese Speaking world.”
