Concordia’s School of Music Hosts its 14th Sacred Music Festival

For the 14th year in a row, Concordia’s School of Music kicks off its season with its Sacred Music Festival, held at the Francis Winspear Centre for Music on Sunday October 26 at 3 p.m.
This concert, titled God is Great, will feature Concordia's choral ensembles, directed by Dr. Joy Berg, and Jubiloso! Bells of Concordia, directed by Debbie Rice. Reverend Lorne Manweiler will accompany on organ.
The Concert Choir, the Community Chorus, and Bella Voce Women’s Choir will perform a wide range of sacred music, including several works by guest composer and conductor, Craig Courtney.
Courtney has more than 300 published works and has been a frequent recipient of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers achievement awards. He has spent nearly a decade performing, teaching and composing all over the globe, including Milan, Italy, and Salzburg. Most notably, he has worked in Austria at the Mozarteum as a piano teacher, accompanist and vocal coach.
