An Update on our Plans for Fall 2021
Posted on: Mar 23, 2021On March 5, 2021, Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) announced plans for a significant return to campus this fall. Since then, we have been working across departments to explore what is possible while continuing to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty, and staff.
Last week, Minister of Advanced Education Demetrios Nicolaides provided Alberta’s post-secondary institutions with an update encouraging a full return to campuses this fall. The Government of Alberta anticipates that every adult in the province will be offered their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of June and that many of the restrictions currently impacting our ability to offer in-person learning will be lifted by the fall.
Given the latest update from the Government of Alberta, CUE is now preparing for a full return to campus this fall. In addition, we will be integrating flexible delivery into our campus community, and may be in a position to continue offering some virtual programming and services.
Our plans are well underway and we look forward to sharing more information as it becomes available. More details are available here.
