CTE: Pecha Kucha Event
12-1 pm
Where: AW 015 (Please send Verena an email for online link)

As a way to celebrate teaching and learning at CUE for the 2022-2023 year, the CTE is hosting its first PechaKucha event. Instructors from across campus will be sharing their PechaKucha stories, in which they will highlight one way they are integrating technology into their teaching.

What is a 20×20 PechaKucha?

Come support your fellow instructors present in a fun and engaging way ! The PechaKucha 20×20 presentation format is a slide show of 20 images, each auto-advancing after 20 seconds. It’s non-stop and you’ve got 400 seconds (6 minutes and 40 seconds) to tell your story, with visuals guiding the way. PechaKucha was created in Japan in 2003 by renowned architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham. The word “PechaKucha” is Japanese for “chit chat.” (PechaKucha, n.d.

WHAT: The focus of the presentations will be on one way that each instructor uses digital tools to better support their teaching practice.

Anyone from the CUE community is welcome to attend (including students).  Please bring your lunch and join us in conversation for this fun event to highlight CUE Instructor practices.
