Thunder Hockey Wins Twice Over Portage

The Thunder Hockey team came up with two solid hard won victories on the weekend over Portage. Both games were highly entertaining and very close late into the third period of both games. On Friday the game was tied 2 – 2 until the relentless pressure from the Thunder eventually paid dividends allowing them to score twice in the final 7 minutes of the game. Saturday's action was much the same with the Thunder holding on to a 2 – 1 lead until they managed to seal the deal with 2 more goals in the final 4 minutes of the game.
The Thunder now hit the road for a weekend series up in Fort McMurray where they will face the Keyano Huskies at 7 PM on Friday night and again Saturday afternoon at 3.
