The Faculty of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of one new faculty member. Welcome to Dr. Teresa Fowler who will be joining the Faculty of Education on July 1.

Her doctoral research was focused on elite male youth hockey players’ experiences with disengagement in schools. Using arts-based research methods, her research also extends into critical White masculinity studies with a focus on the impact of hypermasculinity on men’s mental health and wellness. Teresa has also completed research projects with Indigenous People’s experiences in schools, teacher’s experiences with using formative feedback, and is currently working with a team from the University of Calgary to develop teacher gatekeeper training for youth suicide prevention.
