(Re)Creating Materials For Adult Language Learners: April 5, 2017

The Research Cluster on Linguistics and Language Education will host a presentation on April 5, 2017 from 12pm – 1pm in Room HA343 by Jenny Osorio and Hansy Herrera. They will discuss strategies to assist adult language learners and focus on teaching approaches and the development of course and curriculum materials for language students. The presenters Jenny and Hansy will use a customized textbook for adult students learning Spanish as a foreign language, as a point of reference to create in-class drills and exercises. The book, written by the presenters, focuses on grammar, vocabulary, culture, and hands-on materials to enhance students’ learning processes in and outside the classroom.
