Our partner UNILASALLE receives University Status

Congratulations to our partner UNILASALLE, now La Salle University, in the city of Canoas, RS, Brazil, for their new university status. La Salle University, over 100 years old, was formerly a University College. La Salle is an exchange partner with CUE since 2012 and there is special cooperation happening in the area of Public Health. La Salle’s Tecnosocial was also a main inspiration for the creation of our Centre for Innovation and Applied Research (CIAR). La Salle was visited in 2014 by Dr. Tim Loreman, Dr. Patrick Kamau and Prof. Ron Ruhl for a special mission on research and industry. Their campus is just downtown Canoas and surrounded by protected original “Mata Atlantica” (native Atlantic Forest) trees, a beautiful campus (see first video below).
