Faculty of Science Welcomes Dr. Nasim Hajari

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Nasim Hajari to the Faculty of Science and the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences (Information Technology Program) as an Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2021.
Dr. Nasim Hajari got her PhD degree from University of Alberta, and her MSc degree from Simon Fraser University, both in the field of Computing Science. She was a postdoctoral fellow at University of Alberta before joining CUE. Her research areas are Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition and Multimedia Applications. She is also interested in multi-modal data analysis in smart environments and the use of blockchain technology in such settings.
