Welcome, Katie Mallard!

The McNeil Centre for Applied Renewable Energy (McNeil CARE) is delighted to welcome Katie Mallard as the Sustainability and Partnership Officer. She will be supporting the renewable energy seminar series among other initiatives at McNeil CARE.
Katie Mallard is a graduate of the Earth, Environmental and Geographic sciences program at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan Campus (2019). Katie grew up in Alberta, and has developed an interest in waste and energy reduction though short and long term strategy. She has experience in conducting energy assessments, as well as carbon footprint calculations and reporting for small businesses. Katie also holds a passion for photography and enjoying the great outdoors whenever possible.
