Dr. Fehmi Jaafar awarded NSERC Connect Grant for Partnership Development in Sustainable Disaster Recovery

Dr. Fehmi Jaafar from the Department of Information Systems Security and Assurance in the Faculty of Management has been awarded an NSERC Connect Grant Level 1.
This funding will enable Dr. Jaafar to develop a collaborative research partnership with the Montreal-based company, Humanitas Solutions to identify and explore solutions in Sustainable Disaster Recovery. This research partnership will investigate effective and sustainable Disaster Recovery protocols using emerging technologies. The purpose of this research is to establish a strong community of practice around the intersection of technology and humanitarian work.
The NSERC Connect Grant Level 1 provides support to academic researchers for outreach aimed at forming new partnerships in natural sciences or engineering research with Canadian companies. This funding enables researchers and their potential collaborators to identify and develop collaborative research partnerships.
