CCS continues to offer free Chinese courses for CUE Staff and Faculty from Winter Semester

Concordia’s Centre for Chinese Studies (CCS) will offer two levels of Chinese Language Course in 2018 Winter Semester:
HSK Level 1 Chinese–Starting from this Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
Students who take HSK Level 1 Chinese will be able to understand basic language materials related to common personal and daily life. They can retell, recite and copy words or sentences with fair accuracy and can write words or sentences following example. Students will learn 150 characters and words in Level 1.
HSK Level 2 Chinese
Students who take HSK Level 2 will be able to understand and master basic language materials related to common personal and daily life. They will master basic sentence structures, make simple sentences, provide simple descriptions, and exchange some basic information. Students will learn 300 characters and words in Level 2.
Course Prerequisites
Invitees: ALL CUE faculty, staff and public learners.

Course Hours
HSK Level 1 Chinese–21 hours (1.5 hours/week, for 14 weeks, starting 10 January, until 18 April, 2018.)
HSK Level 2 Chinese–33 hours (1.5 hours/week, for 22 weeks, starting 31 October, 2017 until 16 April, 2018 with a break between Dec. 20 – Jan.9)
