Please join us in welcoming Seyma as an Assistant Professor, Psychology, for the Faculty of Arts.

Seyma has expertise in the application of psychometrics, machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence in assessments. Her primary focus is on interdisciplinary research in developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques to assessments to enhance the assessment experiences of diverse populations. Her work has been published in top-quality academic journals such as Psych and British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology and presented at professional conferences such as Learning Analytics and Knowledge and Psychometric Society. Beyond her research, she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on introductory and advanced statistics and psychology and technology in education.
