Travel Research Cluster Presents: Dr. Tolly Bradford on the Historic Hudson’s Bay Company and Jamaican Plantations

The Travel Research Cluster cordially invites you to a presentation by CUE History Professor, Dr. Tolly Bradford – “The Jamaican Plantation and the Reorganization of the Canadian Fur Trade, 1810-1821.” The presentation takes place on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Room HA 020

In this presentation Dr. Bradford will give a general overview of a new research project about the Hudson’s Bay Company’s connections to the British Empire during the early 1800s, and speak in particular detail about the relationship between Jamaican sugar-slave plantations and the Hudson’s Bay Company around 1810.
