Thunder Hockey Takes on SAIT Juggernaut

Posted on: Oct 5, 2015

This past weekend the Thunder faced a tough test as they faced off in a pair of games against the SAIT Trojans. Friday night at SAIT, the Thunder led early on goals by Tyler Stevenson and Jordan Hoffman but were unable to stop the Trojans offence and dropped a 7 to 3 decision. Saturday night at home, the Thunder competed hard and once again led the game early with goals from Nathan Smith and Phil Dillon. The Trojans came back in the second to tie the game and led 3 to 2 heading into the final frame. Despite a furious offensive push, the Thunder were unable to tie the score and eventually lost the game 4 to 2. Despite the loss, Concordia showed (an) 'excellent compete level' and look forward to playing another of the league's top teams when they meet MacEwan University this coming weekend.  The Thunder's home game goes at 8:15 PM on Friday, October 9th.
