Thunder Hockey Open Regular Season with OT Victory

The Concordia Thunder Hockey team's regular season play got off to a positive start this past weekend when they faced the defending ACAC Champion NAIT Ooks. With strong goaltending and determined play from the entire team the Thunder earned a 2 to 1 overtime victory over the archrival Ooks. Getting the counters for Concordia were Blake Boaz and Jordan Hoffman.
Unfortunately the home opener on Saturday night that all the players were really looking forward to ended up being postponed due to unsafe playing conditions at Glengarry Arena, Concordia's new home rink for this season. The problems will be rectified when the Thunder play host to the MacEwan Griffins on Friday, October 4th at 8:15 PM. The second game of the home and home series will be played Saturday night, also at 8:15.
