Spirit of Vimy Ridge Social Media Contest

In April 1917, Canada delivered an unprecedented victory at Vimy Ridge, with all four divisions of the Canadian Corps fighting together for the first time in the Great War. The Battle of Vimy Ridge was a defining moment for Canada and is often considered to be a significant event in the birth of Canada as an independent nation. 2017 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. We must always remember this remarkable moment in our history, not to glorify war but to honour the heroes who fought at Vimy Ridge.
The goal of the Spirit of Vimy Ridge Social Media Contest is to provide an opportunity for young Albertans (Ages 14 to 24) to reflect upon and develop the spirit that allowed Canadians to secure such a pivotal victory at Vimy Ridge. To be eligible for judging, submissions must be received by no later than February 24, 2017.
