Research Office News and Info Session

Posted on: Oct 20, 2017

News:

Concordia’s Research Office is building a comprehensive structure for supporting faculty in their research activities. This includes a series – already begun – of information sessions and workshops about research funding agencies, research grant application procedures and deadlines, research funds administration and compliance etc. Our Research Officer Ms. Lainna ElJabi is leading this program. At the same time we are, with the Research and Faculty Development Committee (RFDC), at the final phase of a comprehensive review of our internal research grant procedures and revisiting the overall vision of it. This work has begun in the summer and the new structure will be communicated to the Concordia Community early in 2018.

And here is a reminder of our invitation to the:

SSHRC Partnership Engage Grants Information Session

Date: Monday, October 23, 2017
Time: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Location: Room: HA206

This information session will be of interest to faculty researchers who are working with community partners in the private and not-for-profit sectors, including those who have not had previous engagement with SSHRC. Partnership Engage Grants are a new funding opportunity that provides short-term (one year) support for partnered research activities between an academic researcher and a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector. This session will provide an high-level overview of the Partnership Engage Grant.  Presented by: Lainna ElJabi, Research Officer
