Religious Studies – Course Requirements

Four-Year Religious Studies Major

Requirements:

36-60 credits required, to include:

1. REL 101 and 102
2. REL 248, 252, 253, and 373
3. One of REL 320, 321, 322, 323, or 331
4. One of REL 362, 364, 365, 367, or 382
5. One of REL 359, 375, or 376
6. REL 499
7. 6-30 credits of unspecified senior-level Religious Studies courses

PHIL 290 is strongly recommended.

Students are strongly advised to take at least six credits of a Language Other than English which relates to their major interest (e.g., Hebrew or Greek in Biblical studies; German, Latin or French in Reformation studies).

 

Three-Year Religious Studies Concentration

Requirements:

24-30 credits required, to include:

1. REL 101 and 102
2. REL 499
3. 15-21 credits of unspecified senior-level Religious Studies courses
