Professional Development Opportunity – 2 Part Workshop

CUE’s Teachers of Tomorrow Wellness Committee is hosting a PD Series which is open to the entire campus community. The webinars are facilitated by the Centre for Sexuality and funded by Ever Active Schools.

Tuesday, March 30th, 1030 – noon; Thursday, April 1, 1:00 – 2:30pm 
Trauma and Violence Informed Care: A Webinar for Health and Social Service Providers
Explore how trauma and stigma can impact clients’ health and well-being, as well as access to health and social services. Learn about the principles of trauma- and violence-informed care (TVIC) and learn to challenge the stigma associated with sexuality in your own practice. You’ll gain practical tools and skills to develop safer and more inclusive services.

LGBTQ2S+: Creating a Culture of Respect for Gender and Sexual Diversity
Learn practical strategies for creating more inclusive work environments and safer spaces for gender and sexually diverse clients and co-workers. Deepen your understanding of the differences between sex, gender, and sexual orientation, and discuss the impacts of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia on LGBTQ2S+ individuals. Develop skills and tools to support LGBTQ2S+ clients and co-workers.
