Polar Opposite Results Mark the Weekend for Men’s Soccer

Posted on: Sep 26, 2016

The Thunder Men’s Soccer team saw both ends of the winning spectrum this past weekend, as they split their matches. On Saturday the Thunder travelled to Augustana, winning convincingly by a 6-2 margin. Israel Olufuwa was the Man of the Match. On Sunday, the Thunder returned home to Concordia to host the Keyano Huskies. “The visitors showed us why they are the defending Provincial Champions, scoring 2 on either side of the half to bag the points, 4-0, stated Head Coach Ian Skitch. “Despite some good work by Man of the Match Ernest Kotio, it was a worryingly flat performance from the Thunder that will need to be addressed before travelling to Kings next weekend – a significant game that the Thunder will have to approach correctly.”

The Thunder will face the King’s Eagles on Saturday, October 1st with the action on the pitch starting at 2 PM.
