Fall 2023 Student Orientation
As the leaves begin to turn yellow around our campus, we at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) are eagerly preparing to usher in a new group of enthusiastic learners. Our upcoming Fall 2023 Student Orientation promises a vibrant introduction to CUE, a world we can’t wait for you to be a part of.
Starting on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., orientation is an essential day for new students. This is more than a introduction; you’ll see the spirit of CUE firsthand and dive into the excitement of student life. You’ll discover the supportive community here to help your time here be both successful and fun.
One of the best experiences during orientation is our interactive campus tour. It’s more than just a walk around the campus, this tour is your opportunity to feel the pulse of CUE, from its state-of-the-art classrooms to its bustling common areas. The tour aims to give you a sense of belonging and a preview of the places you’ll frequent.
Get equipped for the first day of class
For a seamless experience, we strongly recommend having a laptop or tablet. These devices will be your lifeline, granting you access to vital online platforms and resources.
Google Chrome, known for its compatibility with various online platforms, is our browser of choice, especially since CUE extensively uses Google Suite. Your CUE email will be the nexus for official communications. From important newsletters to academic deadlines, this will be our primary means of reaching out to you.
Your academic journey begins with a clear roadmap, and for that, you have Moodle. Here, you can access your course syllabus, marking essential dates and acquainting yourself with your schedule.
Browse our CUE bookstore ‘Bookish’
CUE’s Bookstore is a treasure trove for students and is stocked with many of the required textbooks for your course. If you’re planning to drive to campus, the bookstore is also where you can purchase your parking pass.
Your academic toolkit wouldn’t be complete without the traditional staples: notebooks, binders, pens, and more. Conveniently, the CUE bookstore is equipped to cater to these needs too.

New students will particularly benefit from the Student Life & Learning section of our newsroom, a window into the many extracurricular activities and opportunities on campus.
